Letters I
Never Sent
This project was created during my freshman year for my 2D II course as part of a vinyl design assignment, where we were asked to create the concept and artwork for a fictional album. I developed the project Letters I Never Sent, imagining an album built around the emotional weight of words that were never expressed.
My concept focused on the idea that some of the most meaningful emotions—love, regret, longing, and closure—often remain unsaid. The album title reflects this idea, drawing inspiration from the act of writing letters that are never delivered, a practice often used as a way to process feelings that are difficult to communicate. Projects centered on unsent letters often explore how unspoken emotions can still hold powerful meaning and personal reflection.
Visually, I approached the album cover with a mood-driven design that emphasizes introspection and vulnerability. Through typography, imagery, and composition, I aimed to create a visual identity that feels intimate and reflective, reinforcing the emotional narrative suggested by the title.
This project allowed me to explore how graphic design can communicate storytelling and emotion, translating an abstract concept into a cohesive visual identity for a fictional music project.
