Malum Horror
Conference
This project was created during my Graphic Design II course as a collaborative assignment to develop the branding and experience for a fictional conference. Working in a team of three, we created MALUM, a horror film conference designed to reflect the genre’s atmosphere, visual language, and audience.
Within the group, I was responsible for the UI/UX design, focusing on the conference’s mobile app and website. My goal was to create a user experience that felt immersive while still remaining clear and functional, balancing the dark, cinematic tone of horror with intuitive navigation. I considered how users would interact with the platform to access schedules, event information, and conference details, ensuring the design supported both engagement and usability.
In addition to the digital experience, I contributed to several physical and branded touchpoints, including the welcome/check-in desk, fold-out name tag design, and select merchandise such as a clapboard. The elements showcased here highlight my individual contributions to the project, while the full conference branding and additional team work can be viewed on Behance.
This project strengthened my ability to collaborate within a team while also taking ownership of a key design role. It allowed me to explore how a brand can exist across both digital and physical spaces, creating a cohesive and immersive experience.
